“Yotsanan” leads the Pheu Thai team in their first campaign visit to Ayutthaya, affirming a focus on comprehensive water and agriculture solutions. “Anucha” endorses this capable candidate, urging Thai people to support this prime minister. Meanwhile, “Julpan” announces a policy guaranteeing a 30% profit margin for agricultural products.
On 21 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 09:00 in Chai Na Subdistrict, Sena District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai Party (PTP) prime ministerial candidate, Mr. Julpan Amornwiwat, party leader and PTP prime ministerial candidate, along with party executives and prospective MPs including Mr. Anusorn Iamsaad, Mr. Jakphong Sangmanee, deputy party leaders, and Mr. Anucha Nakhasai, visited the area to meet locals and discuss water management strategies. This marked Yotsanan’s first campaign visit. During the event, locals highlighted flooding issues, requesting attention to flood impacts since the area serves as a water catchment zone. They urged for water to be distributed to other areas to prevent prolonged flooding and called for timely compensation, noting past aid was only received after floodwaters receded.
Mr. Yotsanan stated that many issues are urgent. Policy-making solely in offices fails to fully grasp public hardships. Today, we listen directly to people’s concerns to prioritize actions for their wellbeing. Agricultural product prices require systemic care in all aspects, addressing low prices and off-season planting. We must also negotiate with trading partners simultaneously to support everyone. Regarding flood relief, compensation must be appropriate. We need comprehensive water management systems for clarity. Flood issues extend beyond Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and include upstream areas. Previously, large-scale mega projects related to water were halted.
Mr. Julpan said today’s message to the government is clear. While border issues exist, we must not forget those behind. Sena residents have endured flooding for three months, as have people in Hat Yai. The government must expedite resolution and compensation. Currently, floodwaters in Sena have receded only slightly since his last visit. Although the government’s 9,000 baht relief has been distributed, the promised 20,000 baht has not yet arrived. He urged the government to act swiftly, as hardship cannot wait. Regarding crop prices, during Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra’s premiership, the rice pledging scheme ensured farmers received funds directly, which is no longer possible. Thus, mechanisms must change. Today, Pheu Thai launches an agricultural policy guaranteeing a 30% profit margin, a key platform moving forward. Pheu Thai stands ready to address crop prices and water issues if given the opportunity.
Mr. Anucha stated he understands the lives of farmers who are a main purchasing power of the country—the "first baht" of the nation. He asked why many think of former Prime Ministers Thaksin Shinawatra or Yingluck Shinawatra: because they improved livelihoods and gave hope. Today, Yotsanan is our prime minister candidate. From conversations, he is clearly capable and intelligent. Listening to his vision, Anucha confirmed Yotsanan is a talented leader, thinking scientifically and mathematically without guesswork or forecasts. This approach earned Anucha’s strong admiration. He assured the country will gain a capable leader. He urged citizens nationwide to elect this prime minister to lead the country and return Pheu Thai as the sole ruling party. With this, farmers will surely have better lives and livelihoods.
