The Thai People Party has introduced three prime ministerial candidates, promoting four core pillars: family, community, society, and nation. They declared a commitment to transparent politics, a safe country, and the well-being of Thai citizens, fielding 261 candidates for parliamentary seats.
At 2:00 p.m. on 21 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the Thai People Party headquarters, a policy briefing was held to prepare for the upcoming election battle. The party emphasized a national transformation through four pillars (4C), revitalizing Thailand from the grassroots to the national level. The three prime ministerial candidates were announced: Dr. Kanisorn Sommaluan, party leader; Gen. Narong Pruksarungreung, party strategy chairman; and Mr. Suksomkiat Sueklinsak, along with a total of 261 candidates for the House of Representatives.
Dr. Kanisorn Sommaluan, leader of the Thai People Party, clarified that rumors about selling the party or changing its name are untrue. He stated that the party is ready to return to the election arena in early 2026 under his leadership as the third party leader and in his fifth term. He announced the four main pillars: family, community, society, and nation, with a mission for transparent politics, a safe country, and the well-being of the Thai people.
Notable policies include free education for Thai citizens up to a bachelor's degree in shortage fields, converting military conscription to a 100% voluntary system with a minimum monthly salary of 12,000 baht, increasing agricultural productivity using technology and AI to keep pace with developed countries, establishing traffic courts to reduce accident-related losses, and combating corruption with no statute of limitations.
Gen. Narong Pruksarungreung, chairman of the Thai People Party's strategy, affirmed that all party policies are feasible. Although the party had been quiet for a time, it is now back as an option for the people and ready to lead the government. The ideology centers on nation, religion, and monarchy, adhering to a democratic system under a constitutional monarchy, with a strong focus on eradicating all forms of corruption.
“Sovereignty is crucial. We will not allow anyone to invade or take advantage of us. Please trust that our country is strong. We ask Thai citizens to give the Thai People Party the opportunity to enter politics and become the leading party in forming the government,” Gen. Narong said. .
