
Election 2026: The Election Commission summarized the number of people who registered to vote in advance and overseas on the first day, nearly 100,000 people. This included over 90,000 voters registering outside their electoral districts and 8,361 registering overseas.
On 21 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Election Commission Office summarized the number of people who registered to vote in advance and overseas on 20 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the first day of registration. It was found that 98,900 eligible voters submitted advance voting registrations, including within their electoral district, outside their district, and overseas. Among these, 48 were officials assigned to work on election day registering within their districts. Registrations outside the electoral district totaled 90,491 people, and overseas registrations numbered 8,361.
1. Submitting an application to the district registrar or local registrar, or to the ambassador or a delegate appointed by the ambassador, from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7 during official working hours.
2. Submitting an application by postal mail from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7, with the postmark date considered as the official date.
3. Submitting an application via the internet (only for early voting at central polling stations outside the electoral district and for overseas voting) from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7, available 24 hours daily. The system will automatically close at midnight (24:00) on 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7. Applications can also be submitted through the Election Commission's SMART VOTE app and the ThaiD app of the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior.
