Yotsanan Wongsawat emphasized the 30% profit guarantee policy and highlighted a 3-year debt moratorium of 500,000 baht for farmers during his first campaign speech, appealing to Suphanburi for change. Meanwhile, Julpan stated that the red color remains strong and pledged to restore a better life to the people of Thailand.
On 21 Dec 2025 at 10:40 GMT+7 in Ban Pho Subdistrict, Mueang District, Suphanburi Province, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, Mr. Julpan Amornwiwat, party leader and prime ministerial candidate, along with the party's executive committee and Suphanburi MP candidates—including Mr. Prayoon Insakul (District 1), Mr. Chaiporn Sithan (District 2), and Ms. Kulthida Maophet (District 3)—visited the area to discuss and listen to agricultural product issues and management. They sat in a circle talking with local representatives and farmers. Mr. Yotsanan said that issues such as flooding, drought, and transportation have been brought to his attention by the candidates, which he will use to develop policies to solve local problems. On seeds and fertilizers, scientific methods will be applied, including an early warning system to prevent damage. The party has a policy guaranteeing a 30% profit margin on agricultural products to help farmers stand on their own. Agricultural prices must be regulated by the government through the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This plan is ready to be implemented once Pheu Thai forms the next government.
Mr. Julpan said the agricultural policy Pheu Thai will submit to the Election Commission includes a 30% profit guarantee on agricultural products. Additionally, farmers will receive two coupons: one for 250 kilograms of fertilizer per person and another for quality seeds provided by the government. The party also plans a 3-year debt moratorium of up to 500,000 baht per farmer, with no principal or interest payments required. He believes this will give hope to the people. Pheu Thai has never abandoned farmers, as their voter base largely comes from this group. He emphasized that the 30% profit guarantee policy will apply to all types of agricultural products.
At 11:50 GMT+7 at the sermon hall of Wat Pho Tha Sai, Mr. Yotsanan and his team met with a full audience. He said, “Let me hear from the people of Suphanburi. Some say I don’t speak loudly enough, but Mr. Julpan said this campaign is not a lecture; he fears people might fall asleep. This really is my first time meeting all of you. I want to tell you that we came to Suphanburi first because it is the country's rice bowl and an old province. I want the people to see that if Suphanburi can change, Thailand can change for sure. When abroad, people speak well of Thailand and say we have the heart of the nation. In my vision speech, I started with farmers. Farmers can move forward because Mr. Julpan and I will support you without betrayal. I will work with the team behind the scenes to fully develop science and technology, and develop agricultural machinery to improve yields—this I will do without needing help from the youth. Regarding agricultural product prices, we will push rice prices to 10,000 baht per bale and jasmine rice up to 15,000 baht. That is our goal. However, with rising costs, we have decided to guarantee a 30% profit margin to help people stand up again. We will also manage product processing and promote community enterprises, bringing government power back to local areas following the principle of returning power to the people.”
Mr. Yotsanan continued, “The country faced a crisis in 1997 that was resolved. At that time, a political party emerged and helped relieve debt—that was the Thai Rak Thai Party era. Today, many people from Thai Rak Thai have returned to help. Their knowledge has not been wasted. In 2025, many problems and changes have occurred, such as climate change, so experienced people are needed. Now everyone has come together in Pheu Thai. We will help the Thai people, especially in Suphanburi, to stand up again. Please vote for Pheu Thai throughout the province.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Julpan said, “Today, we are not here just as candidates but with policies. We propose a debt moratorium for farmers of up to 500,000 baht over three years, continuing policies from the governments of Mr. Srettha Thavisin and former Prime Minister Ms. Phaethongtarn Shinawatra. We also plan to distribute two coupons redeemable for fertilizer and seeds. As Pheu Thai moves toward the election, there are only a few colors to choose from, but the red remains strong. I urge you to vote for Pheu Thai, both its candidates and its policies, to bring back a better life for everyone.”
Afterward, Mr. Yotsanan greeted the audience and took photos with attendees in a friendly manner.
