
Spotlight on big names in the Bhumjaithai party list: the large political family lines up numerous prospective party-list MP candidates, including ministers and a missing prime minister.
On 21 Dec, reporters reported that the Bhumjaithai Party's list of 100 prospective party-list MPs is still being ordered and currently arranged alphabetically. Certainly, party leader and prime minister candidate Anutin Charnvirakul will be first on the list.
Party secretary Chaiyachon Chidchob is also confirmed to be second on the list, as he has stated, and Ms. Sabida Thaiset will be included on the party-list as revealed.
Other notable names include Mr. Napin Srisaipong, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office; Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office; Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; Mr. Patthana Prompat, Minister of Public Health; Mr. Songsak Thongsri, Deputy Minister of Interior; Ms. Sasithorn Kittitharakul, Deputy Minister of Interior; and Ms. Traisulee Traisornkun, Secretary to the Prime Minister, all on the party-list.
Also included are Mr. Santi Prompat, a leader from the Phetchabun group; Mr. Piboon Ratchakitprakarn, former Satun MP from Bhumjaithai; and Mr. Mongkolphat Santraiphop, former advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister.
Several former MPs who switched from other parties are running on the party-list as well. These include Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, former leader of Chartthaipattana Party; Mr. Nikorn Jamnong, former director of Chartthaipattana Party; Mr. Phaedimchai Sasomsap, former Nakhon Pathom MP; and from the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party group, Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Minister of Industry; Mr. Eknat Prompan; Mr. Kriangyot Sudlap; Ms. Pitcharat Laohapongchana; Mr. Anucha Burapachaisri; and Ms. Siriwan Prasarksa.
Also included are Mr. Kittichai Engchuan, Deputy Chief Executive of Krabi Provincial Administrative Organization; Mr. Pikit Srichana, former Yasothon MP; Mr. Piti Pitutecha; Mr. Pongsakorn Arnanopaporn, former deputy leader of the Pheu Thai Party; Mr. Pinit Jantrasurin, former Lampang MP of Pheu Thai; and Mr. Krisda Leenawarat, former mayor of Thanyaburi.
