Wutthiphong Thonglao announced he will not run for MP in the next term, saying it was the highest honor to represent the people of Prachinburi. He revealed his continued belief that ordinary people, not from powerful families, can change society.
On 21 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Wutthiphong Thonglao, MP for Prachinburi District 2 from the Chart Pattana Party, posted on his personal Facebook that he will not run in the next election. Over the past 2 years and 10 months as a member of parliament for Prachinburi District 2, it has been the greatest pride in his life as an ordinary person to have received this honorable mandate from the people of Prachinburi District 2.
Throughout his work in Prachinburi, the experience has been invaluable to his life. Every villager he spoke with, born from shared hardships, formed close bonds marked by smiles and tears. He has always believed that an ordinary person, not from a powerful political family, can also change society. Though his time may have been brief, his dedication to serving everyone was never wasted, as at least the people witnessed his hard work. Each parliamentary morning, he stood to speak about pressing issues more than anyone else, building hope and trust.
Every morning, regardless of weather—rain or shine—he would collect the most beautiful and shiny stones and carry them up a mountain to stack them higher each day. He hoped that these stones, catching the sunlight, would symbolize to the people of Prachinburi that their province can still change, as long as they stand up and take action.
Finally, I, former MP Wutthiphong Thonglao, representative of Prachinburi, want to tell all citizens: “I have come this far and will return as I am.
