Peoples Party Puts Out Fire Over Rider Group Objections to Former Line Man Executive Isriya Running for MP

The People's Party puts out the fire by calling a meeting with the “Rider Group” to listen to criticisms and objections after nominating “Isriya,” a former Line Man Wongnai executive, as a party-list MP candidate for insider perspectives.

On 22 Dec 2025, reporters from the People's Party (PP) reported that on 23 Dec 2025 at 12:45 p.m., at the Future Forward Building, the PP headquarters (Huamark), the Rider Union – Freedom Rider Union scheduled a meeting with rider groups to question the party’s stance and the party-list MP candidacy of Mr. Isriya Pairipharit, a former senior executive of Line Man Wongnai group.

Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, former Bangkok MP from the People's Party, said she invited riders and all interested parties to join a discussion to exchange concerns and meet face to face. She emphasized that everyone’s voice is important to them, and they welcome all criticism and feedback, encouraging open communication and assuring they are ready to listen.

Previously, in the selection process for party-list MP candidates, Mr. Isriya Pairipharit’s name made it into the top 100 shortlisted candidates amid criticism from riders concerning wage disputes within Line Man during his tenure as a senior executive, with allegations of unfair pay.

Mr. Chaitawat Tulathon, former leader of the Move Forward Party, had posted support for Mr. Isriya, acknowledging their acquaintance since the 2006 coup and describing Isriya as sharp-minded and progressive.

Reporters noted that on 21 Dec, the People's Party conducted primary voting for both constituency and party-list MP candidates nationwide. The primary vote in Chonburi Province did not endorse Mr. Isriya for party-list MP candidacy; however, he passed primaries in other provinces. The matter will next be presented to the party executive committee for final approval.
