Dr. Warong Named Sole Prime Ministerial Candidate of Thai Pakdee Party

The Thai Pakdee Party has resolved to nominate Dr. Warong Dechkitvikrom as the party’s sole prime ministerial candidate, promoting him as a model anti-corruption leader and recruiting political activist Ajarn Kob Krisanapong as a party-list candidate.

On 22 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at the Thai Pakdee Party, Secretary-General Patiyut Thongprajong announced that the party’s executive committee resolved to nominate Dr. Warong Dechkitvikrom, party leader, as the sole anti-corruption model candidate for prime minister from Thai Pakdee.

Dr. Warong stated that the gray system dominates every sector in the country, with corruption and bribery losses exceeding 500 billion baht annually, including scams. Political parties are tainted by this gray influence. Thai Pakdee has legitimacy and real experience—when in office, it fought effectively, leading to the imprisonment of prime ministers, ministers, and major party financiers. Even without parliamentary seats, the party joined citizens in preventing the country from becoming a gambling hub and helped return fugitive convicts to prison. Thus, the party stands as a model anti-corruption leader. While many parties campaign on anti-corruption, those holding power often fail to act, unlike Thai Pakdee whose proven track record confirms its leadership role.

“Public trust in Thai Pakdee on this matter has led to complaints that even amid conflict, when we visited people in various areas and refugee centers housing hundreds of thousands, there were abuses involving kickbacks from food budgets for refugees. We urge the prime minister to investigate these issues, which appear widespread,” Dr. Warong said.

Dr. Warong outlined the party’s flagship policy to overhaul anti-corruption measures: corruption over 100 million baht will be punishable by death without pardon; citizens will have enhanced power to sue corrupt politicians and receive a share of recovered funds upon case closure. Regarding scammers, new laws will return seized money proportionally to victims. Police reform will tackle the root problem of buying positions funded by illegal businesses and public harassment via checkpoints. The party plans to return police under provincial jurisdiction, abolish checkpoints, and cut off extortion circuits.

Dr. Warong added that security policies will support strengthening the military and cancel MOUs 43-44, which cause border conflicts. The National Health Security Office (NHSO) will be restructured because the 30-baht universal healthcare scheme is failing due to misallocation of funds. The NHSO board will be revised to include representatives of both service users and providers.

Dr. Warong said that during elections, political parties often try to entice voters, so he urged people to be wise. Citizens’ bargaining power is returning. If the same old parties are chosen, people will regret it for another four years. He affirmed that if Thai Pakdee forms the government, it will demonstrate how a party sincerely working for the people operates. If in opposition, it will show how to hold the government accountable effectively. Fighting thieves with thieves only produces thieves; fighting gray with gray yields more gray. Therefore, white must be used to combat gray.

Additionally, Dr. Warong introduced Ajarn Kob, Mr. Krisanapong Kiatsak, a political activist, as one of the Thai Pakdee party-list candidates for the House of Representatives.
