Chaiwut Questions Pheu Thai Prime Ministerial Candidate on Border Issues, Fears Shinawatra Family Domination

Chaiwut, leader of the Rakchat Party, questioned how the Pheu Thai prime ministerial candidate would resolve border issues, citing them as the root of conflict, and expressed concern about potential domination by the Shinawatra family.

On 23 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Chaiwut Thanakmanusorn, leader of the Rakchat Party, questioned the Pheu Thai party’s prime ministerial candidate, stating it is clear the candidate is a member of the Shinawatra family, who are linked to the Thai-Cambodian border dispute. He asked how such a leader could resolve the tensions at the border and restore peace. He also called for clear explanations to alleviate public doubts, as the issue is extremely important to the country.

The Rakchat Party leader also expressed concern that if the Pheu Thai candidate becomes prime minister, how could the public be confident they would not be politically dominated by Thaksin Shinawatra and his sister, given widespread public worry and the demand for clarification.
