
The Election Commission (EC) held a meeting to prepare for the parliamentary election and referendum. Narong Klanwarin invited the public to exercise their voting rights to ensure good governance, affirming that the EC has finalized the supporting regulations.
On 23 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 10:00, the Election Commission office convened a meeting chaired by Narong Klanwarin, EC chairman, along with the commissioners, EC Secretary-General Sa-wang Boonmee, deputy secretary-general, and relevant officials. The main agenda was to prepare for candidate registration, election management, and publicize referendum guideline materials.
Narong opened the meeting by stating that over the past month, the EC has held numerous sessions to prepare for elections at all levels, including local elections, parliamentary elections, and the referendum. The commission has worked on issuing regulations to support the elections and believes it is fully prepared. He called for public information campaigns on voting and referendum rights to ensure the election of good representatives to govern the country.
Constituency candidate registration will take place over five days from 27 to 31 Dec at Sports Hall 2, Thai-Japanese Stadium, Din Daeng. Party-list candidate registration and submission of party prime minister candidate lists will be held over four days from 28 to 31 Dec at Centara Life Hotel, Chaeng Watthana Government Complex.
On the same day, the EC office organized a briefing and rehearsal for media personnel regarding candidate registration for both constituency and party-list elections, which will begin from 27 to 31 Dec 2025. The session included explanations on relevant laws, political party activities during elections, local and national election procedures, citizen participation, election publicity, candidate registration processes, and support for information and media for local and national elections. Media representatives were also taken on-site visits to ensure smooth operations. In the afternoon, the EC office provided further explanations about the parliamentary election to the media.
