Attention is focused on 25 December as the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) may decide whether to proceed with the case against 44 former Move Forward Party MPs. The investigation committee has completed the dossier, with only the step of submitting it to the NACC board meeting for a vote remaining.
On 23 December 2025, reporters from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) office reported on the progress of the case involving 44 former Move Forward Party MPs, who are being investigated by a committee for serious ethical violations regarding their names on a proposal to amend Section 112 of the Criminal Code. There are news reports that the NACC will vote on the case on 25 December. At present, it remains unclear whether the case of the 44 former Move Forward Party MPs will be placed on the NACC meeting agenda on 25 December, as it is within the authority of Mr. Suchart Trakulkasemsuk, the NACC chairman and chair of the investigation committee, to include this matter on the agenda.
The investigation committee has completed the dossier entirely; only the step of submitting it to the NACC board meeting for a resolution remains. The consideration process has taken nearly one year since the Constitutional Court ruled to dissolve the Move Forward Party. However, the NACC’s proceedings are not related to political timelines. This case has attracted significant public interest and is a major case; thus, it has been prioritized in the NACC’s case handling.
