Rumors are swirling that Trinuch Thianthong is preparing to withdraw from her candidacy for prime minister under the Palang Pracharath Party today, citing her wish to devote herself to campaigning on the ground.
On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters from the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) reported that amid rumors of Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, party leader of PPRP, stepping away from politics, party leaders have denied receiving any such signal. Meanwhile, among the reported prime minister candidates are Gen. Prawit and Mr. Teerachai Phuvanatnaranubala, the party's deputy leader, along with Ms. Trinuch Thianthong, Minister of Labor and party secretary-general, who is one of the party’s three prime minister candidates.
Latest reports indicate that Ms. Trinuch plans to withdraw from the prime minister candidacy, citing her desire to focus on campaigning as a constituency MP candidate for Sa Kaeo province.
