On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Seri Ruam Thai Party issued a statement. Pol. Gen. Seri Phisut Temiyavet, the party leader, said that today, the Thai people have come to realize that Thailand's political system has failed in all aspects. This failure is not because of the people but because those in power are "not straight." When people are not straight, politics become skewed, politicians become gray, laws become unjust, justice disappears, and the country repeatedly takes crooked paths. This is why the Seri Ruam Thai Party firmly stands that if the country has straight people, the nation will be straight. And this is why... Our election slogan is “Straight People, Straight Nation,” with an unchanging, uncompromising stance: “Not leaning, not gray, not anyone’s shadow.”
Pol. Gen. Seri Phisut said, “Dear fellow citizens, today Thai politics does not lack politicians but lacks those brave enough to stand straight when the entire system is twisted. Many choose to remain silent, many choose self-preservation, many choose to stay under the shadow of power due to fear and vested interests. But I ask frankly, if those responsible for protecting the country are not brave enough to stand straight, to whom can the people entrust their hopes?”
The Seri Ruam Thai Party affirms it chooses not personal gain but what is right for the nation. Gray-area politics is where one says one thing and does another, politics that cannot be self-checked, where corrupt people never fear the law. If parliament is full of "leaning" parties, the country will lean; if filled with "gray" parties, the country will never be pure. This country needs "straight people" to balance power, stop gray-area politics, and make corruption no longer easy.
In this election, I want to be clear: the Seri Ruam Thai Party asks for your party-list vote. It’s not just to increase the number of MPs but to send "straight people" into parliament to balance skewed and gray politics. We may not be a big party, but we are not ordered, controlled, or bought. Your one vote will make corrupt people cautious, make the use of power unwilling to operate in darkness, and ensure there are people in parliament who dare to say what others do not.
