On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ms. Sasikan Wattanajan, former deputy government spokesperson and deputy spokesperson for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, announced her intention to continue her political career with the party. She confirmed her candidacy for the Bangkok MP seat in Constituency 3, Yannawa–Bang Kho Laem district, emphasizing a clear and decisive approach to politics aimed at seriously resolving the country's crises.
In a personal Facebook post, she confirmed her decision and stated that contesting this constituency seat represents a political path focused on genuine local engagement and continuous listening to the people's issues. She stressed adherence to principles of straightforwardness, transparency, and absence of conflicts of interest.
Amid multiple challenges facing the country—including economic issues, rising living costs, and uncertainties in various areas—Thailand needs leaders and representatives who are decisive, bold in decision-making, and committed to taking concrete actions to solve problems and guide the country forward steadily.
She has experience working closely with Mr. Peeraphan Salirathavibhaga, leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, during his tenure as deputy government spokesperson when he served as Minister of Energy. She witnessed his genuine commitment to resolving public issues, especially tackling living costs through systematic energy price restructuring.
"Reducing energy costs doesn't just mean lower electricity, fuel, or gas bills, but an improved quality of life for people. It means more disposable income for daily expenses, family care, and future planning. At the same time, businesses benefit from lower costs, allowing them to progress and enabling the economy to drive forward robustly," Ms. Sasikan said. Ms. Sasikan stated.
Her candidacy for the MP seat in Yannawa–Bang Kho Laem is part of a political approach that aims to link national policies with concrete local problem-solving. She reaffirmed her commitment to constructive political work centered on the people's interests.
