Rak Chart Party Spokesperson Urges Global Community to Pressure Cambodia to Stop Attacking Thailand

The Rak Chart Party spokesperson issued a bilingual statement urging the global community not to believe distorted information. He stressed the need to pressure Cambodia to stop attacking and reiterated that Thailand targets military bases linked to scammer operations.

On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Chaiporn Jirawinijnan, spokesperson for the Rak Chart Party, released a bilingual statement in English and French to clarify the Thai-Cambodian border conflict to the international community. The statement aims to provide an accurate understanding of the current situation and especially to urge countries not to be misled by distorted information from Cambodia if they wish to play a genuine role in ending the conflict.

It is time to demand that Cambodia stop its attacks, not to call on Thailand to do so. We have accepted ceasefire agreements many times, but Cambodia has repeatedly violated these agreements, not us. The world knows well that Thailand is a peaceful country, and we do not need to prove this historical fact again.

Currently, Cambodia is escalating indiscriminate attacks. Whether this results from outdated, inaccurate weapons or intentional actions remains unclear. What is clear is that Cambodia is targeting innocent civilians and villages, behavior that is extremely inhumane.

Meanwhile, Thailand is working to end the conflict and minimize loss of life and property. Our operations focus solely on destroying military bases to stop further aggression as quickly as possible.

Additionally, one Cambodian military base is being used as an operational hub for scammer gangs. It is widely known that Cambodia is one of the world's largest centers for online scam operations. During the destruction of this base, many scammers fled the area.

Thailand is always ready for peace. However, peace can only be achieved through cooperation from both sides, not by Thailand’s efforts alone.
