Nitisak Thammachot from Phatthalungs Influential Family Joins Pheu Thai Party, Aiming to Plant the Red Flag in the South

Julphan and Suriya announced the introduction of Nitisak Thammachot, from Phatthalung's influential family, joining the Pheu Thai Party to strengthen it and aiming to lead the party's efforts in the South, boasting clear policies to bring good things to Phatthalung's people.

At 13:10 on 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters, Julphan Amornwiwat, Pheu Thai's prime ministerial candidate and party leader, together with Suriya Jungroongruangkit, election director and Pheu Thai prime ministerial candidate, and Kor Kaeo Pikulthong, deputy party leader in charge of the southern region, officially introduced Nitisak Thammachot, former MP for Phatthalung District 2 from the United Thai Nation Party, as the Pheu Thai candidate for Phatthalung District 2.

Julphan stated that Nitisak is the most recent parliament member elected in 2023, and today it is good news as they have strengthened the party with an ideological ally. He confirmed that Pheu Thai will definitely establish a strong presence in the South. He explained that Nitisak shares similar ideas and an ideology for collaborative work in the parliament. After long discussions and alignment of views, Nitisak approached the party during candidate selection and successfully passed the screening. Pheu Thai is very pleased that Nitisak will run as their candidate in Phatthalung District 2, with his registration scheduled for the first day on 27 Dec 2025 GMT+7.

"He is a young, dynamic politician whose skills I have seen in parliament, especially his strong, relentless work on committees. I am glad to have such a capable young man join us. I affirm that Pheu Thai will have MPs in the South, with Nitisak leading the effort to ensure we secure parliamentary seats in the region. We will work for all people, especially in the South, bringing prosperity and development to everyone," Julphan said.

Kor Kaeo expressed gratitude to Nitisak and his family, especially Wisut Thammachot, Phatthalung Provincial Administrative Organization chief. They have known and admired Nitisak's dedication to Phatthalung's development. The Thammachot family is respected in Phatthalung's political circles. It is fortunate for Pheu Thai that Nitisak is interested in working with them. Kor Kaeo believes the party is ready to support driving Phatthalung's future progress. Wisut personally called to express long-standing acquaintance and support for his son's candidacy with Pheu Thai due to admiration for the party's policies and achievements. Both sides believe they can collaborate to promote beneficial outcomes for Phatthalung. They sincerely thank the Thammachot family for the future cooperation.

Nitisak said he is currently in the area preparing for the next election. He wants to bring positive development to the people of Phatthalung District 2. Having worked with previous administrations under Prime Ministers Srettha Thavisin and Pheu Thai leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra, he views Pheu Thai as having clear policies. He wishes to represent southern people by bringing their issues to Pheu Thai. Without this position, the party might remain only a coalition partner, limiting his ability to represent southern concerns. Now, confident in his role, he will clearly convey the difficulties faced by southern people to Pheu Thai, helping the party understand their way of life and the needs for election policies to support the South. He plans to propose these ideas to Julphan as party leader.
