On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Siriphong Angkasungkij, Deputy Leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, spoke about the party's prime minister candidate. At the party's policy announcement on 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, party leader, clearly declared himself as the sole prime minister candidate. Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Mrs. Suji Suthumpun, and Mr. Ekniti Nitatanprapas were named deputy prime ministers, overseeing specific areas similar to the previous term. He confirmed there is no backup candidate.
He added that while no target number of MPs has been set, the Bhumjaithai Party has fielded candidates in every constituency and a full list of 100 party-list candidates. He believes this election will yield the most seats for the party since it is the first time they are contesting all constituencies.
Mr. Siriphong said that if possible, the Bhumjaithai Party would like to form a single-party government, which would make governing much easier. This is the party's expectation.
Regarding coalition formation, Mr. Siriphong said this will be decided after the election. Political blocs are no longer as clear-cut as before, so they will look at the vote counts to see which party ranks first, second, and third. Even parties that have declared they will not cooperate with certain others are expected to reconsider after seeing the election results.
However, regarding debates, he confirmed the party will participate in debate forums. They apologized for missing the recent Thairath debate because the party had not yet announced its policies, so the party leader did not attend nor did they send a representative. Whether Mr. Anutin will attend future debates depends on scheduling, as he is still acting in his current role and must fulfill duties, but he will try to attend as many as possible.
