The Election Commission has summarized that nearly 400,000 people registered to vote in advance and from abroad over four days. They advise those with urgent matters to register by 5 January 2026.
On 24 Dec 2025, the Election Commission Office reported that from 20 to 23 Dec, a total of 403,182 people registered to vote in advance and from abroad. Of these, 565 registered for advance voting within their constituencies, 369,463 registered outside their constituencies, and 33,154 registered to vote from abroad. Registration is open for those who have important business on the general election day, 8 Feb 2026, and can continue until 5 Jan 2026. After registration closes, the Election Commission will finalize the numbers to create the voter registry to be publicly posted at central polling locations.
