Nattapong Ruangpanyawut launches the Data Bureau to combat money laundering by gray capital scammer networks, creating a financial map to trace every last baht and satang of illicit money. The full election campaign policy for 2026 will be unveiled tomorrow at 5 PM.
On 24 December 2025, Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party and prime ministerial candidate, spoke about the Data Bureau on the "Kammakorn Khao, Khuynok Chaw" program hosted by Sorayuth Suthassanachinda, calling it a key tool for a people's government to tackle money laundering by gray capital scammer groups.
Previously, the consolidation of various types of financial transaction data in Thailand was incomplete and fragmented, with many agencies working independently without integration. Therefore, he proposes a policy to link all types of financial transaction data into a single database.
The Prachachon Party will use AI to detect suspicious asset ownership behavior, such as individuals declaring an income of 40,000 baht to financial institutions but conducting multi-million baht transactions in gold trading, or declaring inconsistent income when opening digital asset accounts.
Nattapong added that this policy proposal is not new; it comes from Reinvent Thailand, the Joint Public-Private Sector Committee of Three Institutions (JPPCTI), which has already submitted it to the government. What has been lacking is the political will to use it to dismantle the gray capital eroding Thailand, and they are ready to advance this proposal into reality as soon as possible.
The people's government will crack down on money laundering networks, prevent the opening of multiple mule accounts across financial institutions, stop the use of nominees to exploit Thai SMEs, and through the Data Bureau create a financial map tracing every last baht and satang of illicit funds circulating in Thailand. When assets are frozen or seized, the entire network can be uprooted at once, eliminating scammer nests and reaching the top masterminds rather than just low-level operatives. With no gray money but only legitimate funds, Thailand will no longer be a laundering hub for scammers.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, 25 December 2025, at 5:00 PM, the election campaign policy for 2026 will be unveiled, along with the launch of a website consolidating election information, missions, and future decisions.
