Three Pheu Thai Candidates Present Vision Yotsanan Appeals to Vote for Both Candidate and Party Ink Pleased with Rising Popularity

Paethongtarn expressed happiness after the rising popularity of Yotsanan. Julpan highlighted three core pillars to move the country forward, firmly stating that only Pheu Thai can accomplish this. Meanwhile, Suriya is confident of winning 200 seats. Yotsanan urged voters to support both the candidate and the party.

On 25 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra and the head of the Pheu Thai family arrived with smiles and greeted the media. When asked about the rising popularity of Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, the party's prime ministerial candidate, whose support has surged since his unveiling on 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ms. Paethongtarn simply replied, "I'm happy, very happy."

Julpan highlights three core pillars to move the country forward.

At 10:30 a.m., Pheu Thai held the event "Pheu Thai Can Do It, Making Thailand Great Again," unveiling 500 candidates for both constituency and party-list parliamentary elections. The party's prime ministerial candidates—Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Mr. Julpan Amornwiwat, and Mr. Suriya Jungrungkit, Pheu Thai’s election director—shared their visions. Key party leaders attended, including Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Mr. Poomtham Vejchayachai, and Secretary-General Mr. Prasert Chandraruangthong. Mr. Julpan expressed confidence that Pheu Thai is the only party offering structural policies to develop the country, solve citizens’ problems, and move the nation forward. He said the party will confront forces dragging the country backward, such as political conflict, government instability, and issues related to the rule of law. To overcome these, Pheu Thai offers to work with the people to drive the country ahead through three policy pillars: economy, security, and rule of law. Economically, the party aims for GDP growth of at least 5%. Regarding security, Pheu Thai prioritizes military security, cybersecurity, and environmental security. For rule of law, the party commits to uphold democratic principles to build confidence in Thailand and gain recognition from the international community.

He emphatically stated that only Pheu Thai can lead the country forward.

Mr. Julpan added that this election occurs amid multiple crises: political instability, constitutional challenges, social division, border conflicts with neighbors, geopolitical tensions, and economic hardships affecting livelihoods. This election is thus a pivotal turning point for Thailand. Pheu Thai is ready for change. Upon returning to government, the party will continue supporting farmers by proposing a 30% profit guarantee on agricultural products to shield citizens from price fluctuations, alongside debt relief policies. Price targets include jasmine rice at 15,000 baht per ton, paddy rice at 10,000 baht per ton, rubber at 70 baht per kilogram, corn at 7.25 baht per kilogram, and cassava at 3 baht per kilogram. The party also aims to ensure access to basic utilities at reasonable costs, with electricity prices capped at 3.70 baht per unit. Pheu Thai pledges to continue policies addressing drugs through the "Seal, Stop, Save" program and establish one rehabilitation center per province. Security will be enhanced in all dimensions: military, cyber, and combating human trafficking and transnational crime, including scamming. The party plans to improve online transaction security by involving banks and telecom operators in responsibility. They will create a fund to reimburse victims of scams, blacklist foreign criminals, and seek international cooperation to combat online crime and human trafficking. Pheu Thai stressed that these proposals are not mere promises but represent readiness to act. They claimed only Pheu Thai can truly advance Thailand.

Suriya declares this election the most prepared yet.

Mr. Suriya stated that this election is not merely about choosing individuals but deciding the country's direction. As the election director with 25 years of political experience, he affirmed this is the most prepared election Pheu Thai has ever conducted. They have established district teams working strategically. Candidates visit communities daily with the Pheu Thai spirit, listening to citizens' concerns and seeking solutions. Candidates receive training to deliver clear and focused speeches, new political communication training on social media, and back-end work involves polling to gauge public sentiment. These results are discussed with the strategic committee to tailor plans for each area. Mr. Yotsanan will tour the media and participate in policy debates, having prepared thoroughly and ready to continue existing policies immediately. Additional policies will be unveiled in the final campaign phase. He emphasized that modern politics is a daily competition; they do not wait for momentum but build trust through performance and readiness.

He acknowledges scrutiny due to expectations of being number one and reaffirms confidence in securing 200 seats.

Mr. Suriya further explained that legal scrutiny is tight because opponents expect Pheu Thai to lead and aim to disrupt their momentum. However, Pheu Thai is unafraid, operating within rules with a legal team ensuring transparency. He urged continued focus and hard work, noting diligence never harms political efforts. They constantly evaluate themselves to identify successes and areas for improvement, then proceed accordingly. Importantly, they must not be complacent but work fully and persistently to improve citizens’ quality of life. He also called on the public to report any suspicious election violations to Pheu Thai, which is ready to investigate to ensure fair and honest elections. The party will campaign seriously across all regions to demonstrate readiness. As election director, he confirmed Pheu Thai expects to win no fewer than 200 seats.

Yotsanan declares drug and corruption issues will never end until resolved.

Mr. Yotsanan said today’s scene reminded him of ten years ago when he first ran for a constituency parliamentary seat in Chiang Mai under Pheu Thai. Since then, their ideals have remained unchanged; Pheu Thai’s heart is with the people. For them, the next 45 days are not just an election but a day of hope for the people. Numerous problems exist today, including economic challenges, geopolitical issues, global warming, and rapid technological change. They must address four key tasks: tackle root causes, reduce expenses, increase income, and expand opportunities for the poor and grassroots people. They will promote existing economic engines to work more efficiently and use these to create new opportunities in all dimensions. The government’s duty is to build confidence and develop people. Sovereignty is paramount, along with the rule of law. Problems such as drugs, corruption, and scamming will not end until resolved.

He appeals to voters to choose Pheu Thai both for its candidates and the party.

"I want everyone to trust and believe that we can do it. We do not stand alone; former members of the Thai Rak Thai Party have returned, alongside experienced veterans and new blood joining Pheu Thai. We stand on the shoulders of a benevolent giant, enabling us to clearly see the hopes of the Thai people. Wherever our children are born, they must grow up equally. Together, we will rebuild a better country for our descendants with our own hands. The countdown to the day of hope on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7 has begun. Let’s fight together. Pheu Thai can do it, making Thailand great again. Vote for Pheu Thai, both the candidates and the party," Mr. Yotsanan said.
