Klaatham Party Buzzing as Chalermchai Congratulates Thammanat on Launching MP Candidates Thanakrit to Run on Party List

The Klaatham Party is lively as Chalermchai arrives with flowers to congratulate Thammanat, who led the launch of prospective MP candidates nationwide. They embraced, with Chalermchai declaring, "We fight together." Meanwhile, Thanakrit is set to run on the party list.

On 25 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center, the Klaatham Party (KTH) held the "Klaatham: Actions Speak Louder Than Words" event to introduce both constituency and party-list MP candidates, as well as the party's prime ministerial candidate. The atmosphere was vibrant, with party leaders, former MPs, and prospective candidates who moved from other parties attending in large numbers.

Among attendees was former senator Mr. Kittisak Rattanaworaha. He revealed that although he had to take a two-year political hiatus after leaving the Senate, he brought his adopted son, Mr. Pongpop Na Songkhla, to run as an MP candidate for Phitsanulok District 4.

Also present was Lt. Col. Dr. Thanakrit Jitraareerut, who revealed that he wore the party shirt today to make his position clear. He said he must await the party’s decision on his role but initially expects to run on the party list. The exact ranking will be decided by the party. Currently, he still serves as secretary to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security. He explained his decision to join Klaatham stemmed from his ongoing commitment to serving the public, especially handling grievances. The Klaatham Party focuses on social sectors, aligning with his work, which led him to join.

When asked if Lt. Col. Thammanat invited him, Dr. Thanakrit said it was better to say they talked it over together—no one invited the other; they saw eye to eye and shared mutual understanding.

At 14:30 GMT+7, Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, former leader of the Democrat Party (DP), appeared and approached the stage. Lt. Col. Thammanat Phromphao, Klaatham Party's advisory chairman, stood, bowed, and embraced Chalermchai to welcome him. Chalermchai presented a flower vase to congratulate him before they hugged again. Chalermchai told Lt. Col. Thammanat, "We fight together," then sat beside Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Klaatham Party leader.
