Pheu Thai Party Campaign Policy Highlights Electricity Cost Cap at 3.70 Baht/Unit and 30% Agricultural Profit Guarantee

Check the Pheu Thai Party’s policies for the 2026 election campaign, featuring a 30% profit guarantee for agricultural products, an electricity price cap of 3.70 baht per unit, and concrete solutions for cyber threats, human trafficking, scammers, and gray capital issues.

On 25 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Pheu Thai Party unveiled its campaign policies for the 2026 election. Yossanan Wongsawat, the party’s prime ministerial candidate, stated these policies represent hope for the people amid widespread issues including economic challenges, geopolitical problems, global warming, and sudden technological changes, focusing on four main points.

First is debt relief and support for grassroots citizens and farmers, which remains the party’s core focus. He emphasized that economic solutions must start at the base, likening it to moving a pyramid by shifting its foundation and watering its roots, through comprehensive debt clearance, expense reduction, and income enhancement in all dimensions.

Second is promoting existing economic engines, including agriculture, manufacturing industries, and services, by enhancing efficiency through all forms of science and technology to raise the country’s competitive capabilities.

Third is developing new economic engines by focusing on high-value agriculture, such as herbal products and medical foods; high-value industries like medical devices, semiconductors, and AI; as well as high-value service sectors such as the Wellness Economy.

Fourth is the government’s role in building trust, security, and the rule of law, alongside investing in human development, welfare systems, infrastructure, and environmental care to support long-term growth in the high-value economy.

Key Pheu Thai policies include:

  • A 30% profit guarantee for agricultural products to ensure farmers do not bear the full risk of price volatility.
  • Addressing cyber threats, human trafficking, scammers, and gray capital problems.
  • Enhancing online transaction security with shared responsibility by banks and telecom networks.
  • Establishing a fund to refund victims defrauded by criminals.
  • Creating a blacklist of transnational criminals.
  • Collaborating internationally to position Thailand as a leading role.
  • A 'Electricity for Thai People' program capping electricity costs at 3.70 baht per unit.
