The People's Party has revealed its prime ministerial candidates for the 2026 election, placing "Teng Natthapong" as the first candidate, "Mai Sirikanya" as the second, and "Ajarn Ton Weerayut" as the third.
On 25 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the People's Party officially announced its prime ministerial candidates with clear rankings from first to third, so that after the election it will be certain who becomes prime minister if they win, avoiding any guesswork like drawing lots.
The People's Party's prime ministerial candidates are: They consist of:
1. Mr. Natthapong Rueangpanyawut, party leader, as the first prime ministerial candidate.
2. Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, deputy party leader, as the second prime ministerial candidate.
3. Mr. Weerayut Kanchuchat, deputy party leader, as the third prime ministerial candidate.
In addition, the People's Party introduced four deputy prime ministers:
1. Mr. Pichan Chaowaphatwanwong, former People's Party MP, overseeing democracy and new security issues.
2. Mr. Decharat Sukkamned, director of Think Forward Center and former opposition leader advisor, responsible for new quality of life matters.
3. Mr. Weerayut Kanchuchat, overseeing new economic affairs.
4. Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, responsible for new public administration reforms.
