Over 520,000 People Register for Early Voting in District, Out-of-District, and Overseas Areas in 6 Days

The Election Commission summarized that over 520,000 people registered for early voting within districts, outside districts, and overseas in six days. They emphasized that cancellation is possible for those who wish to vote on the main election and referendum day on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7.

On 26 December 2025 GMT+7, the Election Commission Office summarized the number of people who registered to vote early within electoral districts, outside districts, and overseas. Over the six days of registration for early voting before election day, from 20 to 25 December 2025 GMT+7, a total of 526,639 people registered. It was found that

• 1,226 people registered to vote early within their electoral districts.
• 482,460 people registered to vote early outside their districts.
• 42,953 people registered to vote overseas.

The registration period for people who have unavoidable duties preventing them from voting on 8 February 2026, those residing overseas, and officials assigned to work on election day is open from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026 GMT+7.

Furthermore, those who have registered for early voting but change their mind or cannot vote on 1 February 2026 because they cannot participate in the early referendum voting can cancel their early voting registration to vote on the same day as the referendum on 8 February 2026.
