Prime Minister Congratulates Thairath Newspaper on Its 76th Anniversary, Wishes Thai People a Prosperous New Year

Anutin Charnvirakul congratulated Thairath Newspaper on its 76th anniversary, expressing his belief that it remains a vital source of information for the public. He wished for its steady advancement and extended New Year blessings to Thairath fans and all Thai people, hoping they encounter only auspicious things throughout 2026 and beyond.


26 Dec 2025 GMT+7 Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, accompanied by Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and deputy leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, and Artsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, attended the event to congratulate Thairath Newspaper on the occasion of Thairath Newspaper's anniversary. This year marks its 76th anniversary, with Sarawut Watcharaphol, Thairath's Executive Editor, and Jitsupa Watcharaphol, Co-CEO of Thairath TV and Thairath Online, welcoming them. The Prime Minister took photos with the Thairath Group executives before visiting an exhibition of handicrafts displayed by students from Thairath Wittaya School.

During the visit to the exhibition and handicraft display, the Prime Minister asked the students if they recognized him, and the students responded, “Yes, you are the Prime Minister.” Anutin laughed and replied, “That's good.” They then took a selfie together as a memento. Additionally, students from Thairath Wittaya School in Nonthaburi Province presented the Prime Minister with a commemorative pin featuring his image, which he pinned on his shirt.
