Peerapun and Attawit lead Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party candidates for Bangkok MP seats in the 2026 election, confident of securing positions in all 33 districts. They emphasize their commitment to work, not to engage in political games.
At 07:33 on 27 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Peerapun Salirutwipak, leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party and prime ministerial candidate, accompanied by Mr. Attawit Suwanpakdee and Mr. Naraphat Kaewthong, two other party prime ministerial candidates, led the Bangkok MP candidates to register for the election with the Election Commission (EC). In an interview with Thairath TV, he stated that the party will definitely field candidates in all 33 Bangkok districts and nationwide across all regions.
Mr. Peerapun expressed hope and determination to secure MPs for all 33 Bangkok districts, urging public support. He highlighted that the party has proven its dedication to work rather than political games. He noted his record as the first Minister of Energy who never raised electricity rates; instead, they have steadily decreased, including reductions in oil prices. He also mentioned plans for legislation next year in the form of a Royal Decree requiring stricter oversight. The bill has passed 90%, pending review by the prime minister’s working group before cabinet approval, but regrettably, political changes occurred beforehand.
Mr. Attawit expressed confidence that Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party will firmly establish seats in Bangkok districts. Regarding electricity prices, he noted the reduction from 4.70 baht to 3.94 baht, attributing this to structural reforms. He is confident that if given the chance to continue, prices can be lowered further to 3.33 baht for the benefit of all citizens nationwide. He concluded by affirming that the party’s policies are fully prepared, primarily focusing on crisis resolution and cancelling credit bureau penalties. He cited past achievements and stated that this election will serve as a measure of their performance.
