Phiphat Leads Bhumjaithai Southern Candidates Anutin Visits Suphanburi, Says Following Banhans 20-Year-Old Directive

Phiphat inaugurates leadership of Bhumjaithai candidates in the South, energizing Nakhon Si Thammarat hopefuls and pledging to represent the South’s 30-year struggle of neglect. Anutin visits Suphanburi, stating he is fulfilling the instructions given by Banhan 20 years ago.

On 27 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, acting as the Southern regional leader for the Bhumjaithai Party, began a campaign tour to encourage the party’s candidates in the first day of the Member of Parliament (MP) constituency election registration (27-31 Dec 2025). He traveled to support Bhumjaithai’s nine candidates in Nakhon Si Thammarat province at the Community Hall of the Provincial Administrative Organization Theater.

Mr. Phiphat stated that the party has been preparing thoroughly for this election, confident in their past achievements and in the candidates’ genuine commitment to develop the province. He urged the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat to vote for all nine Bhumjaithai candidates and others in the region. Personally, he hopes to win both constituency and party-list seats, but ultimately everything depends on the voters’ wishes if they want Bhumjaithai to fully take care of them.

Regarding the first day of MP candidate registration in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Mr. Phiphat said the atmosphere was lively with all political parties present, but Bhumjaithai also had a strong supporter base. Moving forward, candidates will be encouraged to campaign actively across their constituencies within about 40 days. He emphasized the need to reassure voters of Bhumjaithai’s past achievements and, if chosen to lead the next government, what policies they intend to pursue. Currently, party leader Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul has announced the overall policy framework, while regional policies for the South will be formulated collaboratively to present various projects to local voters.

On the goal for Southern MPs, Mr. Phiphat expressed confidence that with 31 constituencies joining the party’s ideology, they must ensure these representatives return to serve the people. Additionally, young, knowledgeable newcomers volunteering to work should be considered for seats across the 14 provinces to help nurture and develop the region. He highlighted that the South has been neglected for 30-40 years and urged maximum representation to advocate in parliament, reclaiming the rights and opportunities long denied to Southern residents.

"The Bhumjaithai Party seeks to reclaim the rights of Southern people by leading the formation of the government again, with me as the proposer to develop all aspects of Southern infrastructure," he declared.

At 12:00 PM, at the Banhan Silpa-archa Monument in Mueang District, Suphanburi province, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as the leader of Bhumjaithai Party, paid respects at the monument of Mr. Banhan Silpa-archa, the 21st Prime Minister. He was welcomed by Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Bhumjaithai’s prospective party-list MP candidate, and the party’s five candidates for Suphanburi’s constituencies: Mr. Sorachat Sujit, Mr. Nattawut Prasertsuwan, Mr. Nopadon Matsee, Mr. Samekan Tiangtham, and Mr. Praphat Phothasuthon.

When asked by reporters if he came to apologize to Mr. Banhan for bringing his son into politics with Bhumjaithai, Mr. Anutin responded: "We have discussed this for over ten years. Today, I came to pay respects and inform him that we are following the instructions he gave 20 years ago." Asked about confidence in all Suphanburi constituencies, Mr. Warawut said he remains cautious and intends to give his best effort. Mr. Anutin added: "I am confident because of our diligence."
