On 27 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters observed a vibrant atmosphere at the first day of MP candidate registration for Nakhon Ratchasima at the Suraphat 2 Building, Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima. After drawing candidate numbers, candidates from various political parties met their supporters and cheering crowds outside the registration area, holding up signs with their candidate numbers amid loud cheers. Some parties, such as Pheu Thai, immediately took to the streets of Nakhon Ratchasima city with campaign vehicles to address the public.
Mr. Prasert Chantrawongthong, Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, said he is confident that Pheu Thai candidates will win all 16 constituencies in Nakhon Ratchasima. Most candidates are former MPs, including new candidates in districts 1, 2, and 3 who also have prior parliamentary experience and have continuously worked in their areas. Therefore, the party believes the people of Korat will choose Pheu Thai to continue developing the nation. Preliminary assessments and the rising popularity of prime ministerial candidate Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, combined with policies addressing national issues and forthcoming policy announcements tailored to public needs, lead the party to expect over 200 seats from both constituency and party list systems. The party foresees a coalition government after the election and is ready to lead government formation in alliance with parties sharing similar ideologies and policies, pending final seat counts after the election.
Meanwhile, the Bhumjaithai Party, led by Mr. Polpeer Suwanchavee, candidate for constituency 10, expressed confidence in their governance achievements under Prime Minister Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. They highlighted accomplishments such as the 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' program, export market development to stimulate the economy, border problem management, and crackdown on scammers—tangible results recognized nationwide. For the Nakhon Ratchasima election, the party has fielded candidates in all 16 constituencies and is confident of winning at least five seats.
Mr. Pichon Chaowaphatwong, Deputy Leader of the People's Party, congratulated all 16 candidates after their number draws. He stated that the People's Party has clear ideals and policies to solve and develop the country practically and feasibly, with a firm stance against vote buying. For Nakhon Ratchasima, they hope to win all 16 constituencies to enable the People's Party to form a single-party government.
Mr. Seksakorn Attawong, or 'Rambo Isan,' candidate for constituency 9 of the New Opportunity Party, pledged to serve the people of Khonburi, Chok Chai, and Chaloem Phra Kiat districts by addressing low agricultural product prices affecting farmers, including sugarcane, cassava, rice, corn, and other crops, aiming to improve farmers’ livelihoods, eliminate losses, and clear debts. He also highlighted urgent issues such as flooding, drought, transportation problems, and the recurring problem of hundreds of wild elephants from Thap Lan National Park damaging villagers' crops. Additionally, overlapping land boundaries with the national park affecting farmers' land will require immediate resolution if he is elected as an MP.
