Anutin raised both hands in a wai gesture in deep thanks to 'Teng' after he said the People's Party has no policy to amend Section 112. Anutin declined to say whether they could form a coalition, stating he would not comment before the election and would let the public decide.
On 27 Dec 2025 GMT+7 in Suphanburi Province, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, was interviewed about People's Party leader Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut's statement during a debate that his party has no policy to amend Section 112. Anutin responded to reporters with a surprised expression and said, "Are you sure? You said the People's Party won't amend Section 112?" Anutin raised both hands in a wai gesture and added, "Thank you very much. This truly brings peace of mind to the people. Thank you sincerely."
When asked if, given the People's Party has no policy to amend Section 112, Bhumjaithai could join hands with them, Anutin said Bhumjaithai has one clear stance: it will not join the government or any activities with any party or group that touches Section 112.
Regarding whether a coalition with the People's Party is possible given their announcement, Anutin said it depends on the people. He added, "If asked about election outcomes or what will happen after the election, we here understand that it is not appropriate to speak before the people have made their decision. We sincerely adhere to this principle and have acted accordingly all along. Speaking now would be of no benefit."
