Mr. Amnat Phusadi, director of the Chanthaburi Election Commission office, explained that after candidates receive their numbers and pass document verification, they may immediately campaign using their assigned numbers. Concerning border polling stations, if violent incidents occur on election day, voting there can be postponed or canceled according to the Election Commission's regulations.
He anticipates no major problems or obstacles. Campaigning can proceed normally, and there are no current concerns about border situations. Additionally, public announcements are being made about the constitutional referendum on whether to approve a new constitution, scheduled alongside the election on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7. Advance voting for the referendum is not allowed, but out-of-district voting is permitted on election day.
