Phumtham Leads Pheu Thais Full Slate of Candidates in Nonthaburi, Vows to Reclaim Seats

Phumtham leads Pheu Thai Party in registering candidates for all 8 constituencies in Nonthaburi, announcing a bid to reclaim seats. He affirms clear policies that address the Thai people's needs and urges citizens to watch closely to prevent election fraud in 2026.

At 07:00 on 27 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at the Nonthaburi OTOP Center on Ratchaphruek Road, Pak Kret District, the registration for the 8 Nonthaburi constituencies' House of Representatives candidates began, running from 27 to 31 Dec 2025. On the first day, candidates from major parties such as Pheu Thai, Bhumjaithai, and Prachachon—holders of all 8 Nonthaburi seats from the 2023 election, where they unexpectedly defeated the long-dominant Pheu Thai in every district—arrived to register. Supporters gathered energetically to encourage their candidates.

At 08:30, Mr. Phumtham Vejjajai, a Pheu Thai leader, came to observe and support the party’s full slate of 8 Nonthaburi candidates. He said Nonthaburi has long been Pheu Thai’s stronghold, and the party is determined to reclaim this area. He expressed confidence that their hardworking team is fully prepared, with candidates covering all 500 constituencies nationwide.

He added they have a well-prepared prime ministerial candidate with deep understanding of various issues. The party’s clear policies respond to people across provinces and regions. Pheu Thai has a quality team and a history of delivering on promises. Existing policies like the 30-baht universal healthcare and village fund remain, alongside proposals for suburban and urban residents, such as a 20-baht flat fare for electric trains—policies previously legislated and plans underway to expand initiatives.

He urged Nonthaburi residents to consider supporting Pheu Thai to collaboratively solve problems, noting the party’s close ties with locals and understanding of their issues, promising to do their best to address them.

He noted that the party has 8 constituency candidates plus one party-list candidate for Nonthaburi’s 9 seats. He encouraged everyone to vote fully on 8 Feb 2026, highlighting the election’s importance in shaping the country’s future. Voters will have three ballots: constituency, party-list, and referendum. He stressed the need to understand all three and urged voters to choose Pheu Thai candidates and party.

Phumtham continued, stating Pheu Thai has proven its capability and continues to deliver tangible benefits to people. While they expect support for all 8 candidates, ultimately, it is the voters who decide who best represents their interests and guides the country’s direction.

He also addressed reports of vote buying in several constituencies, especially in rural areas, asking citizens to help monitor. He emphasized the desire for genuine votes, not influenced by money, as this election determines the nation’s future. He pointed out the current crises—from cost of living to economic problems—and urged voters to choose experienced, hardworking representatives who can address these issues long-term. Regardless of what others offer, he concluded, voters should mark Pheu Thai candidates and party on all ballots, as Pheu Thai can deliver a better future.
