Democrat Partys Party-List Number: Abhisit Draws Number 27

Abhisit, representing the Democrat Party, drew party-list number 27 and is ready to campaign for the election. He said the party number is not important compared to what they will accomplish for the people going forward.

On 28 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the Wayuphak meeting room of Centra Government Complex Hotel, the second day of registration for constituency members of parliament (MPs) took place. This day marked the first day for registration of party-list MPs, allowing submission of up to 100 names. Concurrently, each party will submit their prime ministerial candidate list. The atmosphere was lively from early morning, with various political parties and supporters arriving to prepare for election registration.

Reporters described the atmosphere inside the meeting room after document verification and party registration were completed. Representatives from political parties drew balls numbered 1 to 75, representing the active parties. To qualify for party-list registration, parties must field at least one constituency candidate. Before 08:30, 52 parties registered for party-list, exceeding the 47 parties registered in 2023. After registration, a lottery was held to assign each party its ballot number.

Subsequently, each political party submitted their campaign policies, especially those requiring significant budget allocations, along with their prime ministerial candidate lists.

The Democrat Party was 30th in line for the lottery. Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, party leader, represented the party and drew number 27.

After the draw, Abhisit Vejjajiva said the number may not be important; what matters more is what they will do for the country moving forward. He expressed no concern about older voters choosing early numbers since everyone with intent can vote for their preferred party. Afterwards, Abhisit, together with party leaders and members, immediately began campaigning.
