General Rangsit Kitiyanansap, party leader, is the sole prime ministerial candidate of the Economic Party, leading the team of MP candidates in the 2026 election.
On 28 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Election Commission (EC) has set the date for Thailand's general election for members of parliament on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7. Candidate registration for constituency MPs is open from 27 to 31 Dec 2025 GMT+7. Meanwhile, the submission for party-list MP candidates started today (28 Dec), the first day, with 52 political parties arriving before the 08:30 a.m. GMT+7 registration opening. This was followed by the lottery drawing to determine campaign numbers.
. The Economic Party drew number 11 in the lottery. They have submitted a full list of 63 party-list candidates. For the prime ministerial candidate, the name of General Rangsit Kitiyanansap as party leader is the only prime ministerial candidate.
