Trinuch Thianthong and Mom Luang Korakot Kasemsri are the two prime ministerial candidates of the Palang Pracharath Party for the 2026 election, following the withdrawals of General Prawit Wongsuwan and Teerachai Phuwanatnaranubala.
On 28 Dec 2025 GMT+7, it was confirmed that after General Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, withdrew from the party's prime ministerial candidacy, Teerachai Phuwanatnaranubala also withdrew one day later. This came after only one debate stage appearance before the election. He explained his resignation by stating that since General Prawit resigned on 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, he also submitted his resignation from the prime ministerial candidacy, as well as his positions as deputy party leader and party executive committee member. His main reason for joining the party activities was personal faith in General Prawit, so under the current circumstances, he felt it was time to step away from politics.

During the party number draw for campaigning, Trinuch drew number 43. Recently, documents were submitted to the Election Commission showing the party's second prime ministerial candidate is Mom Luang Korakot Kasemsri.
Today, Trinuch Thianthong told Thairath TV that General Prawit assigned them to work with the key objective being the people. She expressed a desire for the younger generation to better address the people's needs. Today, Thailand faces many crises; the Palang Pracharath Party focuses on security, recovery, care, and helping citizens overcome various problems. She wished that they would serve as a reliable hope for the people. General Prawit will not run on the party list nor as a prime ministerial candidate but will remain behind the scenes offering his experience and assistance. Although not directly involved in politics, he still cares deeply about the nation.
