The list of the sole prime minister candidate of the Kla Tham Party has been announced as Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao to contest the 2026 general election
On 28 December 2025 GMT+7, Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, leader of the Kla Tham Party, drew the party's ballot number, drawing 34th in order and receiving number 42 for the 2026 election campaign.
Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, the Kla Tham Party's prime minister candidate, said after receiving the number 42 that he was satisfied with this number. Regarding major political parties, he believes the public is already well aware of them. He said that, after discussions with Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the party leader, and Mrs. Paweena Hongsakul, they see the number as an auspicious one for their party, which boosts everyone's morale to move forward.
Moving forward, the plan is to visit and meet with citizens on the ground, including holding 17 public rallies across Bangkok. The party leader and the strategy chairman will plan these events. He emphasized that this does not mean avoiding debate stages, as he is a politician who believes it is essential to campaign and communicate with the people. However, for some invitations, he may delegate others to attend.
Meanwhile, Lt. Cmdr. Anudit revealed that the Kla Tham Party has only one prime minister candidate, so time must be carefully allocated to ensure the candidate can support nominees across all constituencies thoroughly. A lack of ground campaigning could affect their voter base. The party plans to hold 17 major events nationwide, which is their main strategy for communicating with the public. As a result, the candidate may not attend all debate events, and the party apologizes to any event organizers who invited them.
