‘Tae Phiphop’ Reverses Decision, Volunteers to Run for MP in Bangkok’s District 33 After Party Candidate Arrested for Money Laundering

“Tae Phiphop” steps up to restore the People’s Party’s reputation, volunteering to run for MP in Bangkok’s District 33 to serve the people of Bangkoks Noi and Bang Phlat after the party’s candidate was arrested on money laundering charges. He declares his willingness to reverse his earlier decision to step down.

At 13:24 on 29 Dec 2025 GMT+7 Mr. Tae Phiphop Limjittrakorn, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bangkok from the People’s Party, . posted on his personal Facebook pagestating that the mission to restore public trust in the party is paramount. He is ready to serve the people of Bangkok again after learning that the party’s candidate for Bang Phlat-Bangkok Noi district was arrested for money laundering. He expressed shock, shared by all citizens. This situation is extremely serious for the party, as its survival depends on the trust the public places in it.

Having served as MP for seven years, he understands that trust is the most precious, strongest, yet most fragile asset. It protects the party and helped it grow into the leading party. But when the public loses trust, the party’s future can vanish instantly. Today is 29 Dec 2025, with only 48 hours left before candidate registration closes. The major challenge now is for the People’s Party to find someone trustworthy—trusted by both the public and the party, someone who shares the party’s DNA and political vision akin to the Future Forward Party—within just two days. If none is found, then the people of Bang Phlat-Bangkok Noi will have no People’s Party candidate to vote for in the upcoming election on Sunday, 8 Feb 2026.

“In this critical moment, I volunteer to return and serve the people of Bangkok again as a People’s Party MP candidate. Although I had previously announced my withdrawal from politics, today’s urgent situation compels me to reverse that decision so the party can have a candidate whom the public can trust in the forthcoming election. I, Tae Phiphop, will work wholeheartedly for the people of Bangkok—honestly and reliably—as a representative who has served the people for seven years and hopes to continue doing so under the People’s Party banner. I ask the people of Bangkok to welcome Tae Phiphop once again.”
