Phiphat Denies False Claims of Oil Shipments to Laos and Cambodia, Prepares Legal Action

Phiphat denies false claims of sending oil to Laos and Cambodia, reiterating he has left the energy business for over 22 years. PTG confirms no exports were made, pointing to political harassment intentions and preparing to take legal action.

On 29 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed allegations circulating on social media accusing him of supplying oil to Laos that was then resold to Cambodia. He firmly stated these claims are false, untrue, and seriously damaging to his reputation.

Mr. Phiphat stated he has no involvement whatsoever in oil trade or export as alleged. He stepped away from the energy business in 2003, over 22 years ago, and currently holds no directorship or management role in any energy company.

Simultaneously, PTG Energy officially confirmed it has never exported oil to Laos or Cambodia, directly contradicting the false information spreading online.

Mr. Phiphat emphasized that the dissemination of such false information aims to create misunderstanding and seriously harm his reputation and honor. He indicated there is reasonable cause to believe the claims are politically motivated harassment, especially as the Bhumjaithai Party is gaining strong public support to lead government formation again.

“I affirm these are entirely false reports. I have no involvement as accused. I am ready to undergo legal scrutiny and will take action against the originators and disseminators of these false claims. Currently, evidence is being gathered to pursue legal cases against all involved. I will not allow these falsehoods to destroy my reputation and honor,” he said.
