
The Prime Minister presided over the royal cremation ceremony for Private Thanaphat Nantawong, a brave soldier who died in the Ban Nong Jan battlefield, Sa Kaeo Province, offering encouragement and expressing deepest condolences to the family.
At 16:40 on 29 December 2025 at Chueak Nok Temple, Najik Subdistrict, Mueang District, Amnat Charoen Province, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the royal cremation ceremony for Private Thanaphat Nantawong, a brave soldier who died in a clash between Thailand and Cambodia near Ban Nong Jan, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, on 23 December 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Deputy Minister of Defence, and General Chaiphruek Duangprapat, Chief of the Army Staff. The Prime Minister expressed deepest condolences to Private Thanaphat's family and offered support to the bereaved relatives. He then witnessed the presentation of the national flag draped over the coffin, the awarding of a certificate of honor, and the presentation of royal financial aid, assistance from the army, and compensation from the 1st Army Region as a tribute to honor and recognize the soldier's sacrifice.
