Rak Chart Party Prime Minister Candidate Reveals Gray Capital Spending Hundreds of Billions to Buy the Country Through Election Vote-Buying

Associate Professor Jes, Rak Chart Party's prime minister candidate, revealed that 'gray capital' is spending hundreds of billions to buy the country by distributing money to buy election votes, disclosing a model of 4,000 baht per person to seize state power.

On 30 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Associate Professor Dr. Jes Tonawanik, Rak Chart Party prime minister candidate, disclosed the political interference by gray capital groups. Recently, assets worth over 10 billion baht of a gray capital group were frozen, which he said represented only about 10% of the actual funds prepared for this election battle, with the total amount possibly reaching 100 billion baht.

Associate Professor Dr. Jes detailed the likelihood of using such funds to buy votes, saying that with 100 billion baht, one could buy votes from 100 million people at 1,000 baht each. But since Thailand has fewer registered voters, and about 30 million actually vote, buying votes to secure a majority (around 60% of voters) would raise the cost to 3,000–4,000 baht per person, a figure these capital groups can realistically afford.

"If the gray capital invests 100 billion baht, it's certain to succeed, and once in power, they will pass laws, launch projects, and push policies that benefit themselves, such as legalizing gambling, drugs, running scammer businesses, and making deals with neighboring countries that favor their interests," he said.

Associate Professor Dr. Jes concluded by comparing the 100 billion baht spent to buy Thailand as 'insignificant' compared to the state's budget or state disbursements of 100–200 billion baht that vanish. However, the damage from gray capital seizing state power would be enormous if the public does not rise to resist this.
