
The government deputy spokesperson revealed that the Prime Minister is concerned about people affected near the Thai-Cambodian border and has urged the Cabinet to continue working at full capacity without idling until a new government is formed.
At 12:30 p.m. on 30 December 2025 GMT+7, at the Government House, Ms. Airin Panrit, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced after the Cabinet meeting that today was the year-end meeting welcoming the New Year. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul placed special emphasis on the Thai-Cambodian border situation. The Prime Minister recognizes its importance and expressed concern for people in the affected areas, mentioning relief measures for those who lost lives, those impacted, and those who sacrificed physically and mentally to uphold Thailand's sovereignty. Meanwhile, the Cabinet remains in caretaker status. The Prime Minister has ordered that duties continue to be carried out to the fullest until a new government and Cabinet are formed. The Cabinet members are continuing their normal duties. If anyone is still idling, the Prime Minister asks them to change and proceed with their responsibilities fully, as some urgent matters still require ministerial approval. Therefore, the Cabinet continues to operate to maximize its potential for the benefit of the people.
