Election Commission Summarizes Candidate Registrations: 3,451 Constituency Candidates, 54 Parties in Party-List, 82 Prime Ministerial Candidates

The Election Commission summarized candidate registrations as of 30 December: 3,451 constituency candidates over four days and party-list candidates from 54 political parties over three days, of which 38 parties have nominated 82 prime ministerial candidates.


On 31 December 2025, the Election Commission Office summarized the candidate registrations for the House of Representatives elections: constituency candidates over four days and party-list candidates over three days (unofficially), following the registration period from 27 to 31 December 2025.

The Election Commission Office summarized the registrations as follows:

1. Summary of constituency candidate registrations for the House of Representatives election From 27 to 30 December 2025 (four days) Across 77 provinces, a total of 3,451 candidates registered.

2. Summary of political parties registering party-list candidates for the House of Representatives election From 28 to 30 December 2025 (three days) as follows:

  • On 30 December 2025 alone, one party—the New Hope Party (party number 54)—submitted 8 additional candidates and notified the name of one individual they will propose to the House of Representatives for appointment as prime minister.
  • After three days of registration, 54 political parties have submitted a total of 1,520 party-list candidates.

3. Notification of individuals that political parties will propose to the House of Representatives for appointment as prime minister (prime ministerial candidates) on 30 December 2025 are as follows:

  • Thai Ready Party, party number 36, submitted 3 names.
  • Thai Protect Dharma Party, party number 53, submitted 2 names.
  • New Hope Party, party number 54, submitted 1 name.
  • Over the three days, 38 political parties have proposed a total of 82 prime ministerial candidates. 82 names in total.
