
The government announced that during the extended New Year holiday from 31 Dec 2025 to 4 Jan 2026, the Department of Provincial Administration will provide civil registration and ID card services to facilitate citizens who urgently need documents or assistance.
On 31 December 2025, Ms. Airin Panthurit, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that During the 2026 New Year festival, the government, through the Department of Provincial Administration under the Ministry of Interior, will provide civil registration and ID card services to assist citizens who need documents for official business or require various forms of assistance. Services will be available throughout the New Year holiday period, from 31 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, operating daily from 08:30 to 16:30.
It was emphasized that local administrative officials, registrars at the registration office, and village heads acting as local registrars must perform their duties in registering births and deaths occurring within their villages during the New Year holiday.
