Rakchat Party Deputy Spokesperson Defends Ice Rakchanok Over Family-Related Allegations, Calls for Respect Towards Women

Chutikarn Suwankhot, Deputy Spokesperson of the Rakchat Party, defended MP Ice Rakchanok regarding a prominent academic's remarks involving her family. She called for new political standards to promote clean politics that do not discredit women, emphasizing respect.

On 31 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ms. Chutikarn Suwankhot, Deputy Spokesperson of the Rakchat Party, spoke about the case of "Ice Rakchanok Srinok," a Bangkok MP from the Rakchat Party, who was criticized by a senior academic with references to her family. Rakchanok later confirmed that some claims were untrue, calling such actions a serious disrespect and a degradation of human dignity.

Ms. Chutikarn stated that the behavior aimed to discredit others by belittling them, which is unacceptable for "civilized people," especially those in respected positions such as professors who come from good social backgrounds, complete families, and high education. She stressed that trying to pull others down does not elevate oneself, but instead makes the victim appear more dignified and mature.

"People cannot choose their birth, their parents' professions, or social status. What we can choose are our actions and words—how we treat others and whether we speak in ways that hurt others. Even if you grow up in a privileged family, trying to demean others does not make you any higher."

Ms. Chutikarn concluded by urging the creation of new political standards, emphasizing that the foundation of a good society is "clean politics" where competition is based on policies, information, and genuine intent for the nation's benefit—not on dirty tactics aimed at destroying credibility.
