On 30 December 2025, the Royal Gazette website published a royal command announcement titledGranting special royal decorations.The content states: His Majesty the King graciously granted special royal decorations to military officers of the Royal Navy who died in the line of duty when HTMS Sukhothai encountered rough seas and sank in Prachuap Bay, Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The incident occurred on 19 December 2022, involving 19 individuals as follows:
