On 1 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that on the night of 31 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the New Opportunities party led by Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, party leader and the party's number one prime ministerial candidate, along with Ms. Anusri Thapsuwan, deputy party leader responsible for Bangkok parliamentary elections, and Mrs. Kanoknuch Klinsang, candidate for Don Mueang Bangkok parliamentary seat, paid respects and prayed for Thais to encounter good things, good opportunities, and new chances throughout 2026 at Wat Weluwanaram, also known as Wat Phai Khiao, in Don Mueang district, Bangkok. They also visited the Naga cave featuring beautifully carved statues of Phaya Ananta Naga and chanted prayers across the year for auspiciousness.
Meanwhile, activities of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) on New Year's Day 2026 GMT+7 included Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, party secretary-general and the party's number one prime ministerial candidate as well as candidate for Sa Kaeo parliamentary seat 2, number 6, posting photos of her participation in the foundation stone laying ceremony at Wat Thawai Chalermprakiet to bring auspiciousness. She joined the local people of Wang Thong subdistrict, Wang Sombun district, Sa Kaeo province, and wished everyone blessings for lasting peace and happiness.
