On 2 January 2026, Chaiwat Thanakmanusorn, leader of the Rakchat Party and prime ministerial candidate, offered New Year greetings to all Thai people, stating:
"Happy New Year to all Thai people. This year is the Year of the Horse, so I wish it brings strength and energy to every Thai. Whatever you hope for, may you succeed. In all your business endeavors, may you prosper and thrive. Importantly, there will be an election this year, so I hope we elect good politicians—good people to help take care of our nation. May this be a good year for everyone."
At the end, Chaiwat peeled an orange and concluded with a striking statement: "I’m not here to overthrow just the Orange, because I intend to overthrow both the Gray and the Orange."
