“Ice Rakchanok” campaigned for “Tae Phiphop,” emphasizing the slogan “there are oranges but no gray areas,” saying all gray-area figures have now been removed. She taunted those trying to infiltrate to watch out. Meanwhile, “Tae Phiphop” criticized other parties opposing the candidate change, saying this isn’t the first district to do so and told them to ask “Newin Chidchob.” He added that reading such news wastes internet data.
On 2 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, known as Ice, a party-list candidate for the People’s Party, came to support Mr. Tae Phiphop Limjitrakorn, the People’s Party candidate for constituency 33, Bang Phlat-Bangkok Noi (excluding Siriraj subdistrict), in front of Wat Ruak Suttharam amid questions about the controversy over the candidate replacement.
Mr. Tae Phiphop responded to other parties filing complaints about the candidate replacement, saying he sighed several times and acknowledged this issue benefits democracy. However, he asked the media not to present such news, explaining that information falls into four types: 1. indisputable facts; 2. possible misunderstandings or ignorance; 3. fake news or slander; and
“This case falls under type 4: not fake news but nonsense. It’s something you open online and just waste internet data—give me back my internet costs. Please stop reporting such stories. The Election Commission has already clarified, and this isn’t the first district to do so. Buriram has had replacements too. Why don’t you ask Newin?”
Ms. Rakchanok, who also campaigned today, said many see constituency 33 as a weak point for the People’s Party under attack, which they accept. But now they are confident because they have a sure candidate, Mr. Tae Phiphop. She believes his seven years of work in both the field and parliament will restore trust and support from the people.
She added that this case faced many attacks, and when encountering gray-area politicians or officials, they want them jailed or legally punished. Therefore, “there are oranges but no gray areas.” They are serious, starting within their own party. This is not to promote Tae Phiphop but to affirm they begin with their own members. Many may say there are many gray areas, but she stressed all have now left. They will not ignore legal violations; the People’s Party screens candidates’ credit histories and criminal records. Warrants were only recently disclosed, and once known, they immediately removed the candidate.
Ms. Rakchanok reaffirmed that if such individuals are found within their party, they will not be tolerated. They will not allow “S.S. 888” or gray-area ministers. Anyone trying to infiltrate the People’s Party should watch out because infiltration might occur, but ultimately, they will not be accepted and may face imprisonment before joining any other party.
While campaigning, Mr. Ong-art Klamphaiboon, former Democrat Party MP, also came to constituency 33 in Bangkok to support Mr. Jetsarit Lertthanasan, Democrat Party candidate. Mr. Tae Phiphop and Mr. Ong-art greeted each other with a handshake.
