Worawat Clarifies: False Rumor of Phuwasa, Phrae MP Candidate, Crashing Car on New Years Day

Worawat posted a photo with Phuwasa to clarify that the rumor about the Pheu Thai candidate for Phrae MP number 2 being seriously injured in an accident is untrue. He expressed frustration at receiving such news first thing in the New Year and asked ill-wishers to stop spreading it.

On 2 January 2026, Mr. Worawat Uaapinyakul, Pheu Thai candidate for Phrae MP, posted a photo with Ms. Phuwasa Sindhuwong, candidate for Phrae MP constituency 1, also from Pheu Thai, stating: “Worawat, Phuwasa, Pheu Thai candidate for Phrae MP number 2, had a car rollover accident and fell into a ravine on 1 January.” This news spread rapidly, and the team received so many phone calls their arms almost hurt.

Oh my, such shocking news right at the start of the New Year. I would like to respectfully inform everyone that this news is not true. On the afternoon of 1 January, I attended a Tak Dhamma event at Sueng Men Temple with Yui and Phuwasa. I also ask those with ill intentions to please stop spreading such news. Nowadays, in the era of social media information, the public follows verified facts promptly.

Both Phuwasa and I remain candidates for Phrae MP number 2. We still have the right to be elected as MPs.

In every respect, we have not disappeared. This evening (2 January), we will attend the robe-offering ceremony at Chetawan Temple and Rong So Temple within Phrae municipality to seek blessings from the two revered pagodas.
