“Nattapong” Passes Through Chumphon Gate Hoping to Return to Korat – “Thanathorn” Campaigns in Lampang, “Wiroj” Targets Pathum Thani

Nattapong paid respects to Ya Mo and passed through Chumphon Gate to seek auspiciousness, hoping to return to thank Korat residents again. Meanwhile, Thanathorn campaigned in Lampang, appealing to voters to give Suwipa a chance, highlighting her success in resolving flood problems. Setawan and Wiroj campaigned in Pathum Thani, pledging to volunteer in combating gray capital and scammers.

On the afternoon of 2 Jan 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party and prime ministerial candidate, canvassed to support the Prachachon Party’s MP candidates in Nakhon Ratchasima. He visited to pay homage at the Thao Suranari Monument, also known as Ya Mo.

Amid crowds gathered at the Thao Suranari Monument plaza, many people eagerly took photos and presented Dragon Ball cartoons, food, snacks, and flowers to Nattapong. He then passed through Chumphon Gate, believing that those who pass through it will return or come to Korat again. He hopes to return to ride on a parade vehicle to thank Korat residents once more if entrusted with greater public support.

Mr. Nattapong is scheduled to continue to Khon Kaen province to deliver a speech supporting the candidate for Khon Kaen’s constituency 1 at BirdGarden on 3 Jan 2026 GMT+7.

Thanathorn campaigns in Lampang, appealing to the public to give Suwipa a chance, citing her achievements in solving flooding issues.

Mr. Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, campaign assistant for the Prachachon Party, helped Ms. Suwipa Kusoljung, candidate for Lampang’s constituency 2, number 2, with her campaign efforts.

He began by walking through the morning market in Wang Nuea district, greeting and addressing the public. Conversations revealed that Lampang’s major issues concern water: discolored or no tap water and insufficient agricultural water. Thanathorn affirmed that Ms. Suwipa is the right candidate for Lampang, as she is an engineer from the Progressive Movement team who has successfully improved local water systems nationwide. Additionally, she helped develop the Prachachon Party’s agricultural water policies and flood response for Lamphun Provincial Administration Organization.

"The Prachachon Party’s water management policy allocates 60 billion baht annually, focusing on employment and encouraging Thai private sector development of indigenous water management technology. Regarding flooding, look to Lamphun as an example. After managing for only half a year, we effectively handled floods by sending Mr. Muse to assist local officials in upgrading flood monitoring, enabling timely water drainage," Thanathorn said.

Afterward, Thanathorn campaigned alongside Dr. Bond Suriya, candidate for constituency 4, number 7, an area previously won by the Prachachon Party. However, Ms. Rapatsorn Niyamosot, former Prachachon MP for Lampang constituency 4, married Thanathorn Lohsuntorn, Pheu Thai MP for Lampang constituency 2. This election, Rapatsorn runs in constituency 4 under Pheu Thai.

"I apologize to Lampang’s constituency 4 residents. Dr. Bond, our Prachachon candidate, is a knowledgeable doctor who chose to serve the public through politics. He has had little time to campaign because the dissolution of parliament happened sooner than expected. The incumbent MP switched parties, so the new candidate must quickly cover the large, extensive area. We will make every day count and meet as many people as possible. I ask the public for understanding and to give Dr. Bond, number 2, a chance," Thanathorn said.

In the 2023 general election, Lampang was one of the provinces where the Progressive Movement secured almost all constituency seats—districts 1, 3, and 4—except district 2, which Thanathorn Lohsuntorn, heir of Lampang’s political dynasty from Pheu Thai, retained.

Setawan and Wiroj campaign in Pathum Thani, pledging to volunteer in tackling gray capital and scammers.

At Nana Charoen Market in Khu Khot subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka district, Pathum Thani, Mr. Setawan Tueprakhon, Prachachon Party candidate for constituency 5 (Khu Khot-Lam Sam Kaeo-Lak Hok-Ban Mai), number 3, along with Mr. Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, party-list candidate, campaigned and greeted vendors and shoppers for the New Year. They received a warm welcome, with many expressing hope that Prachachon will form the government to implement their campaign promises.

Setawan said this election is a crucial turning point for Thailand, as once the winning party is chosen, MPs will vote for the prime minister without interference from senators. This election allows MPs to select the prime minister independently, unlike the previous House of Representatives. Therefore, if Pathum Thani voters trust and overwhelmingly elect him and other Prachachon MPs, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut of Prachachon will surely become prime minister.

Wiroj said he has worked with Setawan since they were in the Future Forward Party and later collaborated closely when Setawan became an MP. They have worked together on the Defense Committee and the special committee reviewing the Military Court Act draft. He described Setawan as highly dedicated and fearless in confronting problems. Wiroj believes Setawan will fully fight gray capital, scammers, and call center gangs.
