Julpan teamed up with Penpisut to campaign in Suan Luang Community 1, where they encountered a Pheu Thai fan showing a 20-baht note signed by Thaksin. The supporter said they have followed the party for 20 years. Julpan plans to promote the area as a community tourism spot. Meanwhile, the Bhumjaithai candidate greeted them with a handshake and New Year wishes before they parted to campaign separately.
At 08:00 on 3 Jan 2026 at Suan Luang Community 1, Pheu Thai, led by party leader and prime ministerial candidate Julpan Amornwiwat, along with candidate Penpisut Jintasopon for Bangkok's constituency 3, and list candidates Nanat Hongchuwech and Surakiat Thienthong, campaigned in this Muslim community in Bang Kho Laem district. Upon arrival, Julpan and the candidates greeted residents and vendors. They met Saroch Tontianchai, a Bhumjaithai candidate for Bangkok, shook hands to exchange New Year greetings, introduced themselves, wished each other good luck, and then separated to continue campaigning.
Residents also gave orchids to encourage Julpan and the candidates. Along the way, Julpan entrusted Penpisut, the candidate for Bangkok constituency 3, and prime ministerial candidate Yotchanan Wongsawat to continue their efforts.
The group then visited the market along Charoen Krung 103 canal in Suan Luang Community 1 to meet residents. People inquired about Yotchanan and offered New Year wishes. A household said they have followed Pheu Thai since former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's era and showed a 20-baht banknote signed by Thaksin, explaining they obtained the signature during a major campaign at Sanam Luang 20 years ago.
After the visit, Julpan said the public response was very positive. He has close ties to the area since his family has lived and worked here for generations, being of Chinese descent with long roots in the community. Meeting residents today, he felt the warm welcome and smiles, which motivate the candidates. Visiting the market impressed him further; he saw the area's potential as it has a unique identity, natural charm, and a genuine community. Most shoppers are locals, so the party plans to find ways to attract outsiders to visit, shop, and explore the community. This aligns with Pheu Thai's strategy to create new opportunities and income for the community.
